CIO Business Operations Team
The CIO Business Operations Team works to coordinate, direct, communicate, plan and manage IT initiatives to ensure that IT is meeting its mission. The Business Operations Team includes professionals dedicated to fiscal accountability, the development of IT human resources, project management and tracking, policy and security, research, planning, and aiding directors in carrying out administrative tasks and cross-divisional projects or events.
As Interim Chief Information Officer, Connie J. Schaffer, Ph.D. leads IT in supporting the mission and strategic initiatives of the University and provides counsel on information technology to the leadership of the University and the University Technology Advisory Committee. She is responsible for computing activities and services supporting all 25,000 students and 2,500 faculty and staff, and she is responsible for the implementation and management of EMU's integrated enterprise resource planning system, online services portal, and learning management system.
