IT Rules, Standards, and Procedures
The documents described in this section include those
rules, standards, and procedures which deal with the relationship between the
Division of Information Technology and our constituents. These documentments
are intended to help define the roles and responsibilities
of these groups and to provide information about the
expectations which each stakeholder should have. The
primary reason for developing the roles and
responsibilities is to assure that scarce resources,
whether staff or infrastructure, can be used effectively
while still addressing the requirements of our business
partners.
Database Clones
This document outlines policy relating to (and
procedure for requesting) Banner Database Clones.
Operations Services
This document provides designated partners with the proper procedure for reporting problems that involve the systems listed below. Designated partners are encouraged to use this procedure to expedite problem reporting, analysis, and resolution for EMU's core production systems.
Output Retention Policy
This document outlines policy relating to retention periods for
Banner output. It outlines various output resources and their
specific retention periods.
QUAL Access Procedure
This document outlines procdures relating to QUAL access. By limiting access in QUAL to specific requests tied to projects or production problems, the environment can be maintained in a controlled manner for testing and staging of elements for migration to the production instance.
Production Migration Process
This document outlines policy relating to migrating
EMU developed processes from the Development instance,
thru Quality Assurance, and then into Production.
